About Jonathan

Born in the picturesque Magdalen Islands, Jonathan Lapierre is a young French Canadian composer for visual media who aspires to move audiences through his music and musical soundscapes. From a young age, he was surrounded by music, experienced various art forms, and eventually developed a passion for film scoring. This led him to leave the little archipelago where he grew up to move to Québec City to pursue higher education.

Completing a Bachelor of the Arts degree at Laval University in musical composition a few years later, he then quickly embarked on a Masters in the same field under the direction of Éric Morin. This led to one of his works being premiered by the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal (OSM) in April 2022. And yet, it wasn't the only highlight of this year as he also received an acceptance letter from Berklee College of Music where he is currently pursuing a Master in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games in València, Spain.

With the likes of Horner, Desplat, Shore, Newman, and many other great composers influencing his work, Jonathan creates his own unique colour that will transport listeners through the different sonore landscapes required for any type of visual media. So, if you are looking for a composer who will be able to give a unique colour to your projects, look no further, you've already found the one you need.
